Popis: | Item does not contain fulltext The validity of self-report questionnaires in forensic populations is controversial. This chapter provides an overview of the internal and external factors that may affect the responding on these scales in various forensic populations. Internal factors refer to factors that relate to individual respondent characteristics, while external factors relate to the circumstances in which the questionnaires are completed. Further, the psychometric properties of non-English versions of self-report questionnaires that are commonly used in the forensic field are discussed. Finally, conclusions and recommendations are presented for the use of self-report questionnaires among offenders, followed by a description of new developments. |
