Popis: Judgment and decision-making influence health-related behavior and clinical decision-making and, ultimately, health. It has been estimated that more than half of health disorders derive from behavioral consequences of unhealthy choices. We considered the question of how to better understand and improve decision-making in health and medicine through a narrative review of use and examples of concepts from Behavioral Economics, a field of study that combines insights from behavioral science and economic decision-making, in the 3 highest-impact general medicine journals.
