Popis: Metrioptera brachyptera (Linnaeus, 1761) Platycleis brachyptera: Miram, 1922: 287. Chelidoptera brachyptera: Sjöstedt, 1935: 17. Metrioptera brachyptera: Mistshenko, 1971: 574; Berman et al., 1983: 345; Ryabukhin & Zasypkina, 2005: 305; Ermakova, 2011: 19. Remarks. This species is widely distributed in Palaearctic and has also been recorded from Northeast Yakutia, Magadan region and Kamchatka where it occurs through steppes and dry tundra.
