Popis: The article focuses on research examining the number of cortical neurons in dogs, cats, and other carnivores. It states that dogs possessed nearly 430 million neurons in its cortex compared to around 250 million in cats, while raccoons possessed nearly the number of neurons as cats while possessing a similar-sized brain. It comments that despite having a brain weighing 222 grams, they only possessed 251 million neurons, possibly due to the high energy requirements of neurons.
