| Popis: | Purpose: Tegaserod (T), a 5-HT4 receptor partial agonist that increases peristaltic activity of intestinal muscle, is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C). Whether T effects biliary tract motility is not known. The goal of this study was to evaluate the effects of T on gallbladder (GB) emptying and sphincter of Oddi (SO) function in female healthy volunteers (HV) and in female patients with IBS-C. |
