OGGM-Edu: an open-source educational platform about glaciers and glacier modelling

Popis: OGGM-Edu (https://edu.oggm.org) is an educational platform about glaciers, with the main goal to provide tools and materials for instructors who want to teach about glaciers at secondary schools, in workshops or at universities. Interactive web applications and open access images provide materials for entry-level classes with no experience in physics or programming. Jupyter notebooks at various levels of complexity offer guidance to run and develop simple modeling experiments in the python programming language. OGGM-Edu follows a decentralized open source model: we encourage our users to mix and remix our templates, and offer technical help to develop new classes, run the notebooks on a dedicated cloud service, or translate our materials to various languages. With this contribution, we are looking to connect with educators and scientists in all fields of geosciences interested in online teaching resources.
