Popis: | It is hard to conceive of a household in the Roman Empire that could make do without pottery – for the storing of foodstuffs, the cooking and serving of meals, the drinking of wine and other beverages, etc. Artifacts of glass and metal were used for similar purposes, and they were presumably more prestigious than their ceramic counterparts.
