Popis: | The fluence-response relationships and action spectra of light-induced mRNA accumulation of phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL, EC 4.3.1.5) and chalcone synthase (CHS, EC 2.31.74) were investigated in light-response, suspension-cultured carrot cells after 2,4-D-depletion. The action spectrum for PAL mRNA accumulation (determined 6 h after a 1-h light treatment) had a single peak around 290 nm and was similar to that of anthocyanin formation |
