The Positive Drug List (PLL) includes medicinal products that are paid for with public funds and are prescribed by a doctor. There are specific requirements for the combined products, given that the individual active substances are usually reimbursed and the patient‘s treatment must start with them as monotherapy to specify the individual therapeutic dose. The purpose of the article is to indicate themain advantages of the combined medicinal products and to analyze the process of their inclusion in the PLC of the Republic of Bulgaria. Methodology. A documentarymethod was used (collection, processing, analysis and summarization of information published in legislative documents, monographs, scientific articles, official Internetof the WHO, EC, etc.). Conclusion. The inclusion of combined medicinal products in PLC is realized when the combination provides therapeutic advantages and/orconvenience in the mode of administration at equal or lower cost compared to the separate administration of the ingredients of the combination, or in the absence ofsome of the ingredients. |
