Popis:	A new hemolytic plate method for the functional assessment of alternative-pathway complement activity is described. The plates are easy to prepare and the method simple to perform. Analysis of 23 normal serum samples showed a mean lysis diameter of 4.1 +/- 0.2 mm (1 standard deviation).
