Popis: | The computed tomography appearance of radiation nephritis in two cases is presented. Each patient had received radiation therapy within the previous 12 months to the para-aortic region because of metastases to lymph nodes, with the medial portion of each kidney included in the radiation port. The pattern of decreased attenuation of the medial aspect of each kidney during contrast enhancement on computed tomography should suggest radiation nephritis rather than involvement by a malignant process. Characteristic uptake on a bone scan will confirm the diagnosis. |
