This paper presents the harmonic interaction in low voltage (LV) grids by connecting Photovoltaic applications (PV-inverters) at different installation locations. On the component level, the harmonic voltage practically recorded to roughly 14 % for the 15th harmonic order. It suspected by the high penetration of residential appliances. Usually, a PV-inverter employing a pulse width modulation (PWM) method pollutes the grid voltage. It injects the harmonic current emission into the LV grids. The resonance condition happens if this current emission frequency is adjacent to the grid resonance frequency. Consequent, a high current and/or voltage distortions exist upon the impedance characteristic of LV grids. It is essential to consider the highest potential of harmonic voltages to a specific resonance frequency. Moreover, these values strongly affected by parameter uncertainties and tolerances on the system level. A probabilistic approach with Monte-Carlo simulation applied to consider the potential risk of harmonic resonance. Finally, the 95 % percentile of harmonic voltages estimated rely on stochastic results. |
