DNA sequence of proline permease gene from Pseudomonas fluorescens and predicted structure of proline permease

Popis: The proline permease gene of Pseudomonas fluorescens has been isolated from the promoter region isolated by using a promoter probe (transposon Tn5-B21). By DNA sequencing of 2222 bp the primary structure of permease (494 aa) was deduced. The DNA sequence is 71.0% and 70.7% identical and the amino acid sequence is 75.8% and 76.0% similar to those of Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhimurium, respectively.
