Popis: | Temperature-modulated absorption spectra of SbSI near the ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition are reported. The experiment was performed using unpolarized light. The modulation technique allows a more precise and univocal determination of the energy gap E o and its temperature dependence, which has been evaluated by means of a phenomenological interpretation of the experimental lineshapes. A direct explanation is also provided for the already known typical dependence on temperature of the amplitude of modulation spectra at band gap energy. |
