This study aims to determine the effect of competence on employee performance, competence on organizational commitment, organizational commitment on employee performance and the mediating role of organizational commitment to relationship between competences on employee performance of Secretariat of the General Election Commission of Southeast Sulawesi Province. The study was conducted in the Secretariat of the General Election Commission of Southeast Sulawesi Province with the type of quantitative research. The data collection in this study used a questionnaire with a total sample of 135 employees with cluster proportional random sampling technique. The data collected was analyzed using Partial Least Square Analysis (PLS). The analysis showed that competence has positive and significant effect on employee performance. Competence has positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. Organizational commitment has positive and significant effect to employee performance. Organizational commitment partially mediates the influence between competences on employee performance. |
