Popis: | THE isolated retina is a useful preparation for studying many aspects of visual sensitivity. Photochemical changes following exposure to light may be studied directly, and concomitant electrical events may be monitored with gross and micro-electrodes. The photopigment is also not appreciably regenerated during an experiment, and loss of sensitivity following light exposure shows a clear relationship to visual pigment concentration. |
