Introduction: The interruption of presential classes due to COVID-19 pandemic was the applied alternative to minimize the virus's spread at the Brazilian universities. Objective: This article aims to unravel the meaning and significance given to the set of perceptions, feelings, and experiences about the implementation of remote classes, during the COVID-19 pandemic from the perspective of professors from a public university located in Amazonas inland. Methodology: This work applies an exploratory integrative methodology in which a digital form was applied to teachers, containing closed and open questions, according to the perceptions and experiences relating to the special period called Emergencial Remote Teaching (ERT). Results and Discussion: The class cessation directly impacted the academic community and the majority of the professors (81,8%) declared that they did not feel adequately prepared in relation to pedagogical issues and mastery of technological resources when the remote classes were approved at the university. Among the teachers interviewed, 90,9% related that they attended training courses promoted by the Federal University of Amazonas and there was a preference for the hybrid modality, mainly for theoretical contents. Conclusion: The use of digital technologies in classes was a challenge, however, the professors recognize that it was a necessary moment to prevent a total stoppage of the teaching activities.   |
