Popis: | N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone is a toxic dipolar aprotic solvent widely used in the synthesis of polyurethane dispersions (PUD). Since legislation strongly restricts this substance, green alternatives are essential. Dihydrolevoglucosenone and gamma valerolactone demonstrate comparable performance to that of NMP as cosolvent in the synthesis and the film forming process of PUD. he authors acknowledge the financial support from Spanish Government in the frame of RETOS program, (RTC-2017-6385-5) and thank CROMOGENIA UNITS for technical and time support on the project. This work has also been supported by the biobased Industries Undertaking (JU) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under VIPRISCAR project grant agreement No 790440. The JU receives support from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the Bio Based Industries Consortium |
