Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) have been signed in each pilot city in order to enhance the success of the implementation of strategies, in order to strengthen the stakeholders’ involvement defining the roles and responsibilities of each party involved on a voluntary basis. The form and the commitments required to the stakeholders signing the PPPs have been different: in some cases the commitments have been more focused on a general support in communication or organization activities, while in oither cases they have been more related to specific actions, detailed in an operative plan. In fact, each PPP contains or refers to an operative plan for the development of the mesures, which was drafted collecting input from the local stakeholders. In general, these agreements were signed during the 4th meeting of the Community of Practices, together with the launch of the URBAN-WASTE measures’ implementation phase in each pilot city. More than 150 stakeholders signed the PPPs in the 11 pilot cities. |
