Popis: | A simple and sensitive procedure for the quantitative estimation of Triton X-100 is described. The method is based on the formation of turbidity from Triton X-100 with phenol. The turbidity is proportional to Triton X-100 in a range of 20–80 μg/ml. Protein, mucopolysaccharide, and nucleic acid do not interfere in this turbidity formation. The method is especially useful for detection of the residue after the removal of Triton X-100 from solubilized samples. |
