Popis: Taste is the sense that detects the chemical composition of foodstuffs. Taste is initiated in peripheral sensory organs termed taste buds. Chemical stimuli in the oral cavity are sensed by receptor cells in taste buds, which transit information to primary sensory afferents and on to higher centres in the brain.
