Popis: Turbanella bengalensis Rao & Ganapati, 1968 Records from India. ANDHRA PRADESH: Visakhapatnam (Waltair)— Rao & Ganapati (1968a); ODISHA (Orissa): Puri, Gopalpur, Bahuda estuary—Rao (1969, 1989); GENERAL RECORD: Naidu & Rao (2004). Habitat. Marine, intertidal; medium sand 5–15 cm below surface between low and half tide levels. Distribution. India (Bay of Bengal). Remarks. As for the previous species, information regarding the lay-out of the sperm ducts and the position of the male pore is missing.
