Popis: | The DNA content of lepidopteran cell lines infected with densovirus was determined by flow cytometry. Vital DNA production was monitored and in vitro viral cytopathogenic effects were analyzed. The increased fluorochrome binding was linked to an increase in viral DNA content and to alteration in the nucleus structure observed under electron microscopy. The information provided by flow cytometry was complemented by ultrastructural studies. |
