Popis: Abdominal organ transplants most commonly involve the liver, kidney, and pancreas, and are considered the definitive treatment for end-stage organ failure. A number of complications may arise that can threaten transplant organ function. These complications can involve transplant organ parenchyma, vascular structures, and the different structures that are unique to each transplant organ. Although the complication rate is low, they can result in significant morbidity and need to be recognized in a timely manner by radiologists in order to preserve graft function and optimize patient outcomes. As the number of abdominal organ transplants increase and long-term survival rates continue to improve, radiologists can expect to encounter transplant patients in daily practice and should be familiar with the imaging appearance of transplant surgical anatomy and the spectrum of complications that can potentially affect these transplant organs.
