We will pilot the feasibility of a household intervention to promote the use of induction stoves in urban Ecuador in a sample of low-use induction stove owners (less than 40 kW-h per month). Households in the intervention arm will receive messaging and information about PEC program benefits, proper use of induction stoves, information about reading electricity bills, and a small display showing real-time electricity consumption for the induction stove during the past month. We will monitor the use in all household stoves using stove use monitors (SUMs) before intervention for two weeks and after intervention for a minimum of eight weeks. |
