Popis: A monoclonal antibody (mAT3) to Trypanosoma brucei glycosyl-phosphatidylinositolphospholipase C (GPI-PLC) which immunoprecipitates Plasmodium falciparum GPI-anchor degrading activities [1,2] was used to screen a 2gtl 1 cDNA expression library. One clone (7.1) was isolated containing a 73-bp insert which was amplified from the 2gtll phage by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and used to screen asexual stage cDNA, sexual stage cDNA and genomic DNA libraries.
