Popis: Empirical trials were performed to test the suitability of three detergents, Versene, Tergitol 7, and Solvadine K as reagents in spot analysis. Versene gives a specific test for gold, which was found quite reliable and simpler than most of the other spot tests described. When working with large drops on spot paper, the purple to violet spot is still obtained with 50γ gold; limiting concentration = 1 : 1000.
