Popis:	Treatment of glycine ester with Cu (II) ion and other metal ions in a non-aqueous solution at room temperature resulted in the simultaneous formation of di-, tri-, and tetraglycine peptide esters. Each peptide ester was separated by column chromatography after carbobenzoxylation. Diketopiperazine was not formed in this reaction. Various reaction conditions were examined in detail.
