Popis: | Due to increasingly globally distributed value chains, companies today operate in global production networks. At the same time, the business environment is subject to growing volatility and uncertainty, forcing companies to constantly adapt. Changes are often detected too late, resulting in a delay in adapting the production network. This paper summarizes requirements for the proactive identification of adaptation needs in the configuration of global production networks and derives its key challenges. Furthermore, an overview of the most recent approaches is given and a framework for an efficient and user-friendly detection of adaptation needs is proposed. |
