Popis: Device-to-device (D2D) communication underlaid cellular networks has become an emerging and cost-effective technique to increase the performance of the cellular wireless network. D2D-enabled cellular network faces two different interferences such as inter-tier and intra-tier. In D2D communication, users are close to each other and consequently fading channels between them will have strong Line-of-Sight (LoS) component. Therefore, in this paper, generalized κ − μ fading distribution for the D2D direct link has been proposed. Rayleigh fading distribution has been considered for interfering channels in D2D communication. The shared and dedicated resource allocation scheme has been used to analyze the performance of cellular and D2D communication. The expressions for cellular and D2D success probabilities have been derived and analyzed by using stochastic geometry. Results show that the performance of cellular and D2D communication depends on the available bandwidth allocation ratio and parameters of κ − μ fading respectively. This work focuses on the importance of incorporating the generalized κ − μ fading distribution for D2D communication to get more realistic results.
