Popis: | This paper presents a decision model of planning the optimal configuration of hybrid wind/solar off-grid power systems. The proposed decision model is utilized to evaluate the effectiveness of reducing the hourly power supply variability through integrating the wind and solar power generation. In addition, the tradeoff between the cost minimization and power supply variability reduction is analyzed. The decision variables are composed of the number of installed wind turbines and solar panels. A multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm is applied to solve the proposed model. The computational results provide the optimal configurations of the hybrid wind/solar power systems due to various preferences of cost and power supply variability to meet the load requirements. |
