This book is the outcome of a new method of investigating the life experiences of health personnel engaged in paediatric oncology. It brings together the results of individual interviews with each member of the medical, nursing and technical staff in the Paediatric Oncology Department of the University Polyclinic of Padua and the Giannina Gaslini Institute of Genoa. The interviews, prepared using an open questionnaire format, were carried out by qualified personnel, after which the results were analysed and illustrated to the group of health care professionals involved. The two experiences, which are extremely significant in view of the distinction of the two centres of excellence involved, are compared and discussed with a view to making an interesting contribution to the debate on the delicate issues of bioethics implicated in problems connected with the end of life during the developmental stage.Nel volume, risultato di una nuova metodologia di indagine sulle esperienze e sui vissuti del personale sanitario impegnato in oncologia pediatrica, e raccolto il frutto delle interviste individuali, effettuate ad ogni unita del personale medico infermieristico e tecnico, nel Reparto di Oncologia Pediatrica del Policlinico Universitario di Padova e all'Istituto Giannina Gaslini di Genova. I risultati di tali interviste, eseguite da personale qualificato e preventivamente preparate da uno schema di questionario aperto, sono stati analizzati e successivamente esposti al gruppo dei sanitari. I risultati delle due esperienze, straordinariamente qualificanti per l'eccellenza dei committenti, vengono qui confrontati e discussi, allo scopo di fornire un interessante contributo alla discussione su delicati temi di bioetica riguardanti le problematiche connesse al fine vita in eta evolutiva. |
