Popis: | 1. A study was made of the reactions of WS2, MoS2, WSe2, TaS2, NbSe2, and TaSe2 with Cu, Ag, Ni, and Co during heating at temperatures of 500–1000° C. 2. The compounds MoS2, WS2, and WSe2, which possess semiconducting properties and 2H-MoS2 type structures, form no solid solutions with the metals. WS2 and MoS2 do not react with silver. All these compounds react with the remaining metals, as a result of which they lose their lamellar structures. 3. The compounds NbSe2 and TaSe2, which exhibit metallic conductivity and have 2H-NbS2 and 4H-TaS2 type structures, respectively, form solid solutions with the metals investigated. 4. The compound TaS2, which also has metallic conductivity but whose structure is characterized by the 1H-TaS2 octahedral coordination of atoms, possesses no solubility for Ag, Ni, or Co. Copper dissolves in TaS2; as a result of the dissolution, the latter undergoes a phase transition and its structure becomes transformed into the 2H-TaS2 type with the trigonal coordination of atoms. |
