Popis: | This study will review the use of additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, to fabricate orbital and ocular prostheses, following the PRISMA-P 2015 method. The goal is to provide researchers with an accurate and up-to-date overview of the literature, identifying trends in relation to the technologies and research strategies employed. This will provide a synthesized understanding of the current state, and highlight gaps in knowledge that require further investigation in the future. This is of relevance to both an academic audience, as well as a clinical audience who are increasingly looking to new digital workflows in their practice to improve patient outcomes. |
