Fabrication of cadmium-based imidazole zeolite nanostructure for the adsorption of Sunset Yellow dye from aqueous solution

Popis: Zeolitic-imidazole framework Cd-ZIF was synthesized and characterized. The synthesized zeolite was used in the sunset yellow (SY) adsorption. Impact of different variables on batch method as a function of solution pH, concentration of SY, dose of Cd-ZIF, contact time and temperature were analyzed and optimal conditions were determined. The point of the zeolite zero charge (pHPZC) was obtained 7.0. Langmuir and Freundlich models were employed by equilibrium data from SY adsorption process. The results showed that Freundlich model was fitted. The kinetics of adsorption indicated that SY adsorption followed pseudo-second-order model and chemisorption.
