Popis: | First lanthanide tricyanohydridoborates have been synthesized from anhydrous lanthanide chlorides and the oxonium salt (H₃O)[BH(CN)₃]. Thereby, the two-dimensional, homoleptic coordination polymers ³∞[Ln{BH(CN)₃}₃] (Ln = Eu, Tb) could be obtained in solvothermal reactions upon complete substitution of the chloride anions by [BH(CN)₃]¯ anions. Both products exhibit intense and characteristic photoluminescence in the visible region through lanthanide-specific 4f-4f-transitions with long luminescence decay times typical for the respective lanthanide ions. Altogether, [BH(CN)₃]¯ proves a suitable linker for new lanthanide coordination polymers. |
