Popis: The effects of gamma irradiation on cascara bark were studied. Induced degradation products and modification in cascaroside ratio were investigated by a dedicated HPLC method. The presence of free radicals was evaluated by EPR technique. Both HPLC and EPR measurements were performed at different times up to four months after the irradiation process.
