Popis: | The dressed state populations and resonance fluorescence spectra of a two level atom interacting with a detuned classical field in the presence of a squeezed vacuum are investigated. The classical field need not be resonant with the atomic transition and the squeezing need not be perfect. It is found that the asymmetry of the resonance fluorescence spectra may be reversed on applying a very small change in the detuning. We point out that, in general, the spectra are extremely sensitive to the degree of perfection of the squeezing. A slight degree of imperfection may cause many of the interesting features to disappear. |
