This research aimed to calculate the recreation capacity of the Bile lake coastal strip in the small river basin in the Rivne Nature Reserve. We used field observation in 2018 to collect research data on the number of recreation, the characteristic of the natural complexes of the Bile Lake coastal strip, characteristic of the forest and more. The calculations were carried out using two methods. Located between the Stokhid, Prypiat and Styr rivers, the site of Bile Lake and Koza Berezyna Mire, includes an extensive eutrophic and mesotrophic bog area, a deep oligotrophic karst lake, swamp forests, pine woods and a small channelled river flowing across the bog. The wetland complex plays an important role in the maintenance of hydrological regimes of the central part of Western Polissya, in addition to carbon storage and climate regulation. Recreation capacity concept is the one of basic for sustainable concept to protect area. Recreation activities have a direct and indirect impact on the natural environment, as it relates to the growth in the number of visitors that can affect ecological integrity. Observation of biological aspect showed that there were some damages of vegetation along the Bile lake coastal strip. The result showed that recreation capacity of the Bile lake coastal strip had 2074 and 2940 visitors/season. But Real recreation load had 3364 visitors/day sometimes, that is significantly higher than normal. In order to regulate the use of recreational resources, we propose to regulate the behavior of recreants. |
