Popis:	Temperature inhomogeneities of the plasma in the active and undisturbed solar corona are investigated on the basis of ground eclipse observations of coronal spectra and monochromatic images. It is shown that the lower solar corona is a mixture of near isothermal fine structures of different temperatures. Fine multi-temperature structuring of the coronal plasma has to be taken into account in theoretical developments of the heating mechanisms.
