The kinetic features of the anionic polymerization of e-caprolactam initiated by alkali metal (K + , Na + , Li + ) lactamates in the presence of aluminium caprolactamate (AlCA 3 ) are studied. The complex [AlCA 4 ] − anion formed by the latter slows down the process, this anion being less reactive than the lactam ion. Increase in reaction temperature increase the activating power of the AlCA 3 . Polymerization is accompanied by an increase in the MM of the polycapramide formed (compared with the absence of AlCA 3 ), depending on the nature of the alkali metal counterion. |
