The Ileo-Sigmoid Knotting a Rare cause of Acute Intestinal Obstruction: About a Case

Popis:	The ileosigmoid knotting is an exceptional clinical entity, it is a surgical emergency characterized by a strangulation of the small bowel by forming a knot around the base of the sigmoid colon with risk of rapid necrosis of the small bowel and colon. We report the case of a young women admitted for intestinal obstruction; and in which the diagnosis of ileo-sigmoid knotting was made on CT. Through this case and a review of the literature we will define the diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic aspects of this rare clinical entity.
