Popis: The trigeminal nerve exits the brain in its anatomical course in the area of the pons and proceeds to the anterior edge of the petrous bone. There, the nerve forms the trigeminal ganglion – also known as the Gasserian ganglion – which, sheathed by a dural sleeve, gives off three branches (V1–3).
