Popis:	Methods of identifying high conservation value forests (HCVFs) have been proposed in correspondence with the Russian national certification standard accredited by the Forest Stewardship Council (FCS). A landscape-typological approach has been assumed as a basis for HCVF identification. In fact, the HCVF concept is a modified interpretation of protective forest organization scheme. The methods can be applied in other Siberian regions.
