Popis: | Calcined eggshell powder, prepared from waste eggshell, was melted mixed with HDPE at contents of 10–40 wt%. It was shown that calcined eggshell powder was a good functional filler for HDPE. Young's modulus and ultimate stress of the filled HDPE increased with increasing the filler content. In addition, thermal decomposition temperature and yield strength of the filled HDPE were not significantly influenced by the addition of the filler. Compatibilizing the filled HDPE with 2 wt% maleic anhydride grafted HDPE improved impact strength of the filled HDPE according to homogeneous distribution of the filler. |
