Popis: Nuclear cardiology has continued to expand its already established role in the evaluation of cardiac patients with advances in hardware, software, new radiotracers, and clinical indications. These advances include high temporal and spatial resolution SPECT and PET cameras, hybrid imaging with computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and high-sensitivity detectors and new radiotracers that allow not only the evaluation of myocardial perfusion, viability, and function but also risk stratification for sudden death and the characterization of myocardial and vascular inflammation. This chapter will focus on the clinical applications of nuclear cardiology.
