| Popis: | during the MDRO outbreak, i.e., telephone, call light, bed rails, over bed table and shower hand rail. In rooms without a shower (e.g., ICUs) the sink faucet handles were used. After discharge and prior to cleaning, the items were dusted with fluorescent powder utilizing a cotton tip swab applicator. Once the room was clean, an ultraviolet light source was used to determine if all the powder had been removed from the touch items during cleaning. The goal was no fluorescence left on any of the items dusted. |
