Popis: This paper describes the reproductive behaviour of a population of domestic fowl established on an uninhabited island off the coast of Scotland in the spring of 1975. Nest site selection, nesting, laying and incubating behaviour were studied and compared with that of domestic fowl, kept in agricultural conditions, and of wild species. Factors leading to survival of the population in the face of certain selection pressures are discussed.
