The paper focuses on the pertinent information about our surroundings available to us at all time. An extremely simple case may be of getting the Temperature and Humidity in the air to us when the user is moving from one location to another. These kind of information might specifically be of more interest to users working in hazardous areas and dealing with defense operations or mining operations. For example the miners might be interested in knowing if the humidity, temperature, CO2 or SO2 is increasing in the environment and can be dangerous to health. A heads-up display (HUD) can be any transparent medium display which can represent relevant data without the user requiring to look away from their gaze (point of view). The thesis is to design a mechanism which will be able to display the information or the data about the surroundings to the user in a Display loaded near the eye. The display module in the present prototype will be an Android Phone mounted on a helmet with Bluetooth connection facility. |
