A rigorous regime was used to test fish stamina in a stress tunnel. The heritability of swimming stamina was 0.24. The genetic correlation of −0.14 with length was small and negative, while the environmental correlation of 0.43 was larger. This can be taken to imply a relatively small additive component affecting swimming with the possibility of dominance deviation in the correlated responses. |
